Photoshop can be very intimidating because of its complicated and non user-friendly presentation. You open the program, put a picture in, then what? I confess there have been times in the past I would decide to finally figure it out but then I would just end up staring at my monitor. Luckily for Photoshop impaired people such as myself, there are numerous tutorials that can be found on line. Open your web browser, type in “Photoshop tutorials” and you will find yourself staring at numerous links to a whole spectrum of Photoshop tutorials like the basics of Photoshop, how to use a specific tool, advanced techniques, different tips for different effects and a whole lot more. These tutorials come in videos or articles so you can choose which you would prefer.

Brushing Up With Photoshop Brushes

Photoshop brushes are Photoshop applications that help create a realistic, brush-like touch to an image, making it appear as though a real paintbrush stroke across the page.  Perhaps artists who are able to truly produce masterpieces with paint and brush might not be too fond of this application for obvious reasons, and may even dislike it in varying degrees.  But for the frustrated and amateur artist (like me), I’m sure this application is a great help in making technologically refined works of art.  Just hearing the word “brushes” already makes me want to release the inner playful child inside of me.  My fingers want to click and move all over the screen and just make a wonderful, colorful, orderly mess.

When you go on-line and search for information on various Photoshop texts, you will find hundreds upon hundreds of tutorials that provide a lot of options of texts and effects that help make the written language appear more interesting, classy, glamorous, eye-catching, and impressive. One must have a keen sense of what kind of font and effect is appropriate for certain ideas and/or images one wishes to portray, not just with the words he will use but also with the way he wants those words to pop out of the picture so as to imprint an indelible mark on the viewer’s brain.
